Position Title: Steel Wall Panel Delivery Driver
Location: Mount Uniacke, NS
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift efficiently and safely to move materials around the site and assist in the delivery of steel wall panels to various construction sites. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both the shop and on site construction team.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and storage areas using a forklift.
- Deliver materials to designated locations, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Operate flat bed trailers that are 32 feet long tandem and triple axel up to 10,000 lb loads, with over width at 143” wide.
- Operate various tools and machinery, such as forklifts, telehandlers, crane.
- Complete any required paperwork for deliveries and ensure all documentation is properly filed.
- Perform general yard maintenance tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard area, including snow removal.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Your Skills & Abilities
- Previous experience in yard work or maintenance position.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator and delivery driver in a construction environment is a must have.
- Familiarity with moving heavy and sensitive items in yard and loading and unloading trucks.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Operating various tools and machinery.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
